Connect WordPress

Install the BlazeHive Connect plugin, copy two values from it, and paste them into BlazeHive.

Integrations are set per website. Pick the website in the BlazeHive sidebar first.

What you paste into BlazeHive

Field in BlazeHive Where it comes from Looks like
Site URL WordPress admin → BlazeHive → Your credentials https://yoursite.com
Blazehive Plugin API Key Same card, API Key 40 characters

Fields are under Integrations → WordPress in BlazeHive.

The plugin creates the API key on your site. You copy it from WordPress, not from BlazeHive.

Setup

  1. Step 1

    Install the plugin

    In WordPress

In WordPress admin, go to Plugins → Add Plugin, search for the name below and click Install Now.

    BlazeHive Connect

To install manually, download the ZIP. Then go to Plugins → Add Plugin → Upload Plugin, choose blazehive-connect.zip and click Install Now.

    Download blazehive-connect.zip
  2. Step 2

    Activate it

    In WordPress

    Click Activate Plugin.

  3. Step 3

    Copy your credentials

    In WordPress

Click BlazeHive in the WordPress sidebar. The Your credentials card shows Site URL and API Key, each with a Copy button.

  4. Step 4

    Paste them into BlazeHive

    In BlazeHive

Open Integrations in BlazeHive and choose WordPress. Paste into Site URL and Blazehive Plugin API Key. A trailing slash on the Site URL is removed for you.

    Open Integrations
  5. Step 5

    Save and test

    In BlazeHive

Click Save & Test Connection. A green Connection successful box confirms it.

  6. Step 6

    Optional: send a sample

    In BlazeHive

On plugin v2 or newer, click Send sample landing page. It creates a draft on your site and shows a View draft → link.

After you connect

Your WordPress connection shows a status: Active, Error or Not tested. Use Test to run the check again, Edit to change a value, and Disconnect to remove it.

Choose how pages go out from the Auto-publish dropdown on the dashboard:

  • Off: nothing is sent until you publish a page yourself.
  • Auto (Draft): pages arrive as drafts.
  • Auto (Live): pages go live.

Where pages appear

Page type URL root
Alternatives /alternatives/
Comparison and vs /comparisons/
Listicle /listicles/
Landing /solutions/
FAQ /faq/

If a root is already used on your site, the plugin picks a fallback, for example alternative-to for alternatives. To send a page type into one of your own post types, use BlazeHive → Advanced in WordPress.

Plugin versions

  • Landing pages need plugin 2.0.4 or newer.
  • FAQ pages need 2.1.0 or newer.
  • Updates arrive through WordPress.org. After a successful test, BlazeHive tells you if an update is available. Open your WordPress plugins page and click Update.

Make a new API key

  1. Step 1

    Regenerate it in WordPress

    In WordPress

On the BlazeHive page in WordPress, go to Danger zone and click Regenerate API Key. The old key stops working at once.

  2. Step 2

    Paste it into BlazeHive

    In BlazeHive

In BlazeHive, open the WordPress card on Integrations, click Edit and paste the new key.
