Why is white labeling bad?

White labeling is not inherently bad, and it is completely legal. The criticism comes from how it is often done. An agency resells outsourced work at a markup, and when the vendor is weak, the client gets junk with the agency's logo on it.

The real risks are quality control you do not own, dependence on a vendor's roadmap, and margin pressure once clients discover the underlying cost. Disclosure matters too. Clients rarely mind outsourcing, but they mind discovering it.

Done with a strong vendor and honest framing, white labeling is just specialization. Agencies sell strategy and relationships while production runs elsewhere. Most industries work this way already.
